Poll results show Maldivians want to preserve sovereignty: Prez

Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu reacted to results of parliamentary polls, wherein his party secured a 'super majority', saying that the verdict shows people want to preserve sovereignty. People's National Congress, led by the pro-China leader, won 68 out of 93 seats in the parliament, while allies Maldives National Party and Maldives Development Alliance won one and two seats respectively.
