Pope Francis expels Kerala priest jailed for raping 16-year-old girl

Adhering to a policy of "zero tolerance" for clergy who sexually exploit minors, Pope Francis has expelled rape convict Kerala priest Robin Vadakkumchery from all priestly duties and rights, according to church officials. Vadakkumchery is currently in jail for raping and impregnating a 16-year-old girl. Last year, a POCSO court sentenced Vadakkumchery to 20 years of imprisonment.
