Pope Francis expresses 'shame' over French Church sex abuse scandal

Pope Francis expressed "shame" for himself and the Roman Catholic Church over the sexual abuse of children by the French Catholic clergy. An independent commission on Tuesday revealed that members of the Catholic clergy in France have sexually abused around 2,16,000 children since 1950. Pope called on all bishops to take necessary actions so that "similar tragedies don't happen again".
