Pope Francis has opened his private apartments at the Papal Palace of Castel Gandolfo to tourists, the Vatican said on Wednesday. The apartments at the 17th century castle have been turned into a museum, which will be inaugurated on Friday. The Papal Palace served as the summer residence of Francis’ predecessors Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict, among others.
