Portugal part ways with manager Fernando Santos following World Cup exit

Portugal have parted ways with manager Fernando Santos after they crashed out of 2022 FIFA World Cup in the quarter-finals. Santos had been contracted until after Euro 2024, but the Portuguese Football Federation said that now was the "right moment to start a new cycle". The 68-year-old had taken over as Portugal manager in 2014.
