South Korean steelmaker POSCO will jointly set up a 3-million-tonnes-per-year integrated steel plant in Maharashtra's Sindhudurg district with Shree Uttam Steel and Power Ltd, the latter announced on Tuesday. This will be POSCO’s first plant in India as it battles regulatory hurdles for a $12 billion steel plant in eastern Odisha.
