Posters at supermarkets ask people to remove masks in Bengaluru

Several supermarkets in Bengaluru have put up posters banning customers from wearing masks due to rise in thefts. An employee of a supermarket chain said they lost about ₹1.2 lakh worth of materials because of people wearing masks committing theft. Police said that in many recent thefts and robberies, masks are being used to prevent being identified.
