Praggnanandhaa wins his maiden Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz title, gets ₹47.5 lakh

Indian Grandmaster R Praggnanandhaa clinched his maiden Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz title, winning the championship with a round to spare. The 20-year-old earned $50,000 (around ₹47.5 lakh) in prize money after finishing with 23.5 points, ahead of Uzbekistan's Javokhir Sindarov. The victory also moved Praggnanandhaa to second in the overall Grand Chess Tour standings, behind Fabiano Caruana.
