Pravati Parida is the first woman to become Odisha's Deputy CM

BJP leader Mohan Charan Majhi has been elected as the Chief Minister of Odisha. MLAs KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida have been chosen as the deputy chief ministers. The State is set to witness its first BJP-led government and the first woman as deputy CM. Parida secured a victory over BJD's Dilip Kumar Nayak by 4,588 votes from Nimapara.
