Prayagraj traders protest UPI fee, raise slogans against govt

Traders across Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj staged a protest against government’s decision to impose a 0.4% Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) on person-to-merchant UPI transactions above ₹2,000, set to take effect from October 15. They formed a human chain, carried banners and wore black armbands to demand withdrawal of the proposed charge. Traders also raised slogans against the government over the move.
