Prediction markets Kalshi, Polymarket operating in India despite being banned since May 1

Prediction trading platforms Kalshi and Polymarket are operating in India despite a government advisory dated April 25 calling them "illegal", and a ban that went into effect on May 1. Users are accessing platforms using VPNs even as officials warned VPN providers of legal trouble for doing so. Kalshi said it hasn't been asked to cease operations in India.
