Preeti Pawar becomes first Indian boxer to reach CWG 2026 final, to fight for gold on Saturday

Preeti Pawar has become the first Indian boxer to reach a final at Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2026. She defeated Zambia's Catherine Mwape 5-0 in the women's 54kg semi-final in Glasgow on Friday. By reaching the final, Preeti has assured India of at least a silver medal and will now compete for her maiden Commonwealth Games gold on Saturday.
