President Murmu conferred highest civilian award of Suriname

President Droupadi Murmu has been conferred Suriname's highest civilian award, 'The Grand Order of the Chain of Yellow Star', by the country's President Chandrikapersad Santokhi in Paramaribo. She is the first Indian to receive this award. "This recognition holds tremendous significance, not only for me but also for the 1.4 billion people of India whom I represent," she said.
