President's Rule revoked in J&K after nearly 6 years

The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a notification revoking the President's Rule in Jammu and Kashmir after nearly six years. This comes after National Conference's Omar Abdullah staked claim to form the government in the Union Territory. As per the notification, the order shall "stand revoked immediately before the appointment of the Chief Minister".
