Prez Murmu sacks Army Major part of 'Patiala Peg' WhatsApp group for breaching security

President Droupadi Murmu terminated the services of an Indian Army Major after an investigation found him guilty of allegedly compromising national security, officials said. The Major, posted with the Strategic Forces Command, was part of the 'Patiala Peg' WhatsApp group where alleged unauthorised conversations were held. He was allegedly in touch with a Pakistani intelligence operative online.
