Prince Hisahito becomes Japan's 1st royal male to turn 18 in 40 yrs

Prince Hisahito, son of Japan's Crown Prince Akishino, turned 18 on Friday and joined the Imperial family as an adult. Hisahito became the first male member of the family to reach adulthood in nearly 40 years, reported Japan Times. The family, which has ruled for over a millennium, faces the issue of a shrinking population as the rest of Japan.
