Princess Indira Raje's royal rebellion for her love

It was the biggest scandal of the times when Indira Raje, daughter of the Gaekwad of Baroda, called off her wedding in 1913. She had been betrothed to the Maharaja of Gwalior, Madho Rao Scindia, an important union between the two Maratha families. In1911 at The Delhi Durbar she met Prince Jitendra Narayan. It was love at first sight.
