Priti Patel resigns as UK Home Secretary hours after Liz Truss named PM

Britain's Home Secretary Priti Patel on Monday announced she's stepping down from her post, hours after Liz Truss was named the Prime Minister. "I congratulate Liz Truss on being elected our new Leader, and will give her my support as our new Prime Minister," said Patel in her resignation letter.
