Private bus ticket prices increased by 3% to 8% in Karnataka

Private day-service bus fares across Karnataka have increased by 3% to 8% from June 9. The Federation of State Private Bus Owners' Associations said the hike was necessary due to rising diesel prices, higher maintenance costs, toll charges and employee wages. The revised fares apply to around 5,300 buses across the state.
