Private plane crashes during emergency landing, explodes into fireball in Dominican Republic

A US-registered Gulfstream G200 private jet crashed and burst into flames while attempting an emergency landing at La Romana International Airport in the Dominican Republic on Sunday. The Dominican Civil Aviation Institute said the pilot and co-pilot died, while no passengers were onboard. The aircraft had reported mechanical trouble after takeoff and was returning when it crashed on the runway.
