The widow of Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet, Lucia Hiriart is being investigated for allegedly cheating the country by selling properties chosen as community centres for profits worth at least $10 million, and for stealing funds from her NGO. Investigators have described the book-keeping as "chaotic" with some properties listed for $1, while they had been sold for around $1.2 million.
