Process for change in date of birth in passport made easy

The government has simplified the process for making changes in the date of birth in existing passports by allowing digitally signed birth certificates as valid proofs. Furthermore, requests for change in DOB will be considered even if the period to make changes has lapsed. Earlier, request for change of DOB was allowed within five years of issuance of the passport.
