Prof explains how illegal migrants fund lifestyle in India after getting documents for ₹30,000
Assistant Professor Souvik Mondal, who was one of the researchers on a TISS report about illegal immigration, said illegal migrants get identity papers for ₹7,000-₹30,000. He claimed that money collected from Friday prayers is deposited into the accounts of these Bangladeshis. "If ₹5 lakh is deposited in a citizen's account, it would be flagged immediately, but not here," he explained.
