Prof UR Rao sowed seed of Aditya-L1: ISRO Project Director Shaji

Nigar Shaji, Project Director of ISRO's Aditya-L1 mission, remembered contribution of late ex-ISRO Chairman Professor UR Rao while addressing the media following successful launch of Aditya-L1. "At this juncture, I'd like to remember Professor Rao, who sowed the seed for this mission," Shaji said. Professor Rao was ISRO Chairman from 1984-1994 and had initiated development of launch vehicle GSLV.
