Promoters sell ₹2.57 lakh cr shares in 2025 in 6-year-high: Report

Promoters offloaded shares worth ₹2.57 lakh crore in 2025, the highest level in the past six years, Financial Express reported. Since 2020, promoters have sold nearly ₹10 lakh crore worth of shares, largely in secondary markets. In 2025, the largest promoter stake sales via IPOs were in LG Electronics, ICICI Prudential AMC and HDB Financial Services.
