Protests erupt in Nepal after govt imposes tax on Indian goods above ₹63

Protests have erupted in Nepal's towns alongside India's border after Nepal's government imposed a tax on Indian goods above NPR 100 (₹63). "Whatever the rituals are performed here (Nepal) from birth to death, we bring all the essentials from there (India)...it's an unannounced blockade," one protester said. Nepal officials said tax was not new but was now being strictly implemented.
