Proton VPN removes India servers, CEO says 'no intention to comply with govt order'

Proton, the Swiss company behind Proton VPN, has announced that it is removing its servers from India in response to a government order that requires service providers to store users' data. "Proton has no intention of ever complying with this or any other mass surveillance law," Proton CEO Andy Yen said. The order will come into effect on September 25.
