Prototype of India's 1st bullet train to be ready by August

BEML expects to complete the first prototype coach body for India's indigenous bullet train project by August 2026. The company plans to launch its B28 high-speed train platform in 2027, supporting India's efforts to build domestic high-speed rail capabilities. The initiative complements the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project and advances the country's Make in India manufacturing goals.
