Prototype phone case to check blood pressure developed

Researchers have developed a prototype smartphone case that can measure a user's blood pressure. The user can put external pressure on an artery in the finger by pressing a sensor on the device to let it measure the blood pressure. Meanwhile, the phone runs an app to ensure that the user maintains finger contact while calculating the blood pressure.
