Prototype turbine sets world record of generating most power in 24 hrs

Siemens Gamesa's prototype wind turbine generated 359 megawatt-hours of power in one day, setting the world record for the most amount of power generated in a 24-hour period. Power generated by the prototype would be enough to power 18,000 households. The breakthrough was achieved using a set of "revolutionary" blades that are cast in a single piece of recyclable resin.
