Public holiday declared in Delhi on November 7 for Chhath Puja

The Delhi government on Friday announced a public holiday on November 7 for Chhath Puja. "Chhath Puja is an important festival for the people of NCT of Delhi," the government stated in a notification. This comes after Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena wrote a letter to Chief Minister Atishi urging her to declare November 7 as a full-time holiday.
