Public holiday declared on Karwa Chauth in Himachal Pradesh

Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced a public holiday on October 29 on the occasion of Karwa Chauth. The holiday will be observed in all government offices, boards, corporations, schools, colleges and universities across the state. "Wives observe a fast for their husbands, and it is important that the husbands are at home and doing well," CM Sukhu said.
