Pulses may get cheaper as govt weighs import duty cut: Report

India is considering lowering import tariffs on some pulses to boost supplies and curb food inflation after an uneven monsoon raised concerns over domestic output, Reuters reported. Any reduction could be limited to lentils and yellow peas, while chickpeas may be excluded. India has already allowed duty-free imports of pigeon peas and black gram until March 2027.
