Pune activist Vidyanand Bapat slapped for opposing loud DJs at Ganpati processions

Pune activist Vidyanand Bapat was allegedly assaulted by a man on Thursday during his campaign against the use of loud DJs during Ganpati processions. A video purportedly shows a man approaching Bapat and slapping him while he was talking to the media. Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis condemned the incident and said that differences of opinion shouldn't lead to violence.
