Pune airport closes runway after IAF jet suffers technical snag

A Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter jet of the IAF had to engage an aircraft arrester barrier at Pune's Air Force Station to stop the aircraft because of inadequate deceleration experienced by the pilots following a technical snag, the IAF said. Pune airport's runway remained shut for several hours after the incident. No damage to the fighter jet was reported.
