Pune among 11 winners of govt's 'Streets for People Challenge'

The Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry on Tuesday said 11 cities, including Pune, have been chosen as winners of government's 'Streets for People Challenge'. The initiative required cities to redesign their public spaces through low-cost innovative measures to make them pedestrian-friendly. Pune constructed smart roads on JM road, FC road, Baner and Aundh areas, which garnered appreciation.
