Pune bans towing charges in the absence of vehicle owner

In a relief for Pune motorists, Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar has ordered that towing charges will not be applied if the vehicle owner is absent at the time of a parking violation. Only the no-parking fine will be imposed. The move addresses complaints about overcharging and unprofessional conduct and introduces loudspeaker alerts to ensure transparency during towing operations.
