Pune civic body chief Gaikwad transferred after he spoke against lockdown

A day after he spoke out against the decision to impose a 10-day lockdown in Pune, the Maharashtra government transferred Pune Municipal Corporation Commissioner Shekhar Gaikwad. The decision to impose the lockdown was announced on Friday. Gaikwad will be replaced by Vikram Kumar, who is currently serving as the Commissioner of Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA).
