Pune may face alternate-day water supply after Diwali

Pune Municipal Corporation has used 6.35 TMC of its 13 TMC annual water allocation, leaving only 6.65 TMC until June 2027. Officials discussed introducing alternate-day water supply at a canal advisory committee meeting chaired by Deputy CM Sunetra Pawar. A final decision will be taken after Diwali, following talks with the mayor and party leaders.
