Pune-Mumbai Expressway to have 10-lanes at ₹14,000 cr expense

MSRDC plans to expand the Mumbai-Pune Expressway into a 10-lane 'superhighway' costing ₹14,260 crore to ease rising congestion. Handling over one lakh vehicles on weekends, the upgrade will be funded through tolls, possibly extending collection beyond 2045. Covering 67 km, the project faces minimal land hurdles and aims to ensure faster, smoother travel.
