Pune Police busts call centre of instant loan apps, 18 arrested

Pune Police busted a call centre of instant loan apps and arrested 18 persons for issuing threats and harassing defaulters. Police received 4,778 complaints from 2020 to 2022 in which people claimed they were abused and harassed, Pune Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta said. "These apps seek access to the camera, photos, contacts and storage on mobile phones," Gupta added.
