Pune railway station to get 60 new trains, 6 new platforms

Indian Railways plans a 5-year expansion for Pune station to double passenger capacity amid population growth. Key features include 6 new platforms, and 60 additional trains (total originating from 50 to 110). Satellite stations at Alandi (9 platforms), Uruli (mega terminus with 10 platforms), and Phursungi will ease congestion, adding 198 coaches for 1.5 lakh passengers.
