Pune to expedite work at religious sites for Kumbh 2027

Pune District Collector Jitendra Dudi has directed officials to expedite construction at religious sites under tourism department in preparation for Kumbh Mela scheduled for 2027 in Nashik. Dudi emphasized prioritising restoration efforts at tourist and religious destinations such as Astavinayaks, Vadu Budruk, and others to accommodate the influx of visitors expected during the religious event.
