Pune's Yerwada jail allows inmates to video call family & lawyers

The inmates at Pune's Yerwada jail can be contacted by their lawyers and relatives through a video calling facility amid the coronavirus pandemic, authorities said. To avail the facility, lawyers and relatives have to send an email seeking appointment for the inmate and get themselves registered, a report said. The video calls are monitored by jail authorities, an official said.
