Punjab approves 205 guards for 41 sub-divisional hospitals

Punjab Health Systems Corporation has approved deployment of 205 security guards across 41 sub-divisional hospitals, with five guards per hospital via Punjab Ex-Servicemen Corporation. The move, effective November 1 to March 31, 2027, follows nearly 100 reported violence incidents against healthcare workers over two years, including an assault on a woman doctor at Kharar hospital on October 24.
