Punjab bans energy drinks across all schools in the state

To combat the burgeoning popularity of energy drinks in schools across Punjab, the government has announced a blanket ban on the beverage at educational institutions. Punjab Health Minister Dr Balbir Singh stated that the consumption of energy drinks by school children from an early age can lead to addictions or addictive behaviour.
