Punjab CM inaugurates paddy straw briquetting plant to reduce crop burning

Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh has inaugurated a paddy straw-based briquetting plant in Patiala as part of an initiative to cut down on stubble burning and reduce air pollution. Singh said that more such plants would come up in the future to tackle Punjab's stubble burning problem. "It will also help minimise the resultant health hazards," he added.
