Punjab demands ₹1.44 lakh cr from Rajasthan for using water since 1960

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has asked the Rajasthan government to pay ₹1.44 lakh crore for water usage charges since 1960 or stop withdrawing the water. Accusing Rajasthan of not paying money since 1960, CM Mann added that the Punjab government has raised the issue with both the Centre and the Rajasthan government. He also sought review of the 1920 agreement.
