Punjab deploys 19,000 ASHA workers to boost healthcare access

Punjab deploys 19,000 ASHA workers under the Chief Minister Sehat Yojana to expand healthcare access. Each worker covers ~1,000 residents, assisting with awareness, registration, and guidance at service centers. In 20 days, ~10 lakh enrollments occurred. Daily 50,000 residents register, 35 lakh health cards issued, ensuring cashless treatment and critical care benefits across the state.
