Punjab extends night curfew by 2 hours in 9 districts amid rising COVID-19 cases

Terming the spread of COVID-19 in Punjab as alarming, CM Amarinder Singh on Thursday announced to extend the time period of night curfew in nine districts from 9 pm to 5 am, instead of the previous 11 pm to 5 am. These nine districts are Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Patiala, Mohali, Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala and Ropar.
